The Wall Street Journal: Summer's Best Concerts, From Dylan to Badu

Mr. Dylan is forever on the road and sometimes he catches fire. The kicker here, for 11 shows mostly in the Western U.S., is the addition of Mr. Mellencamp, who's at an interesting juncture in his career. He recently released "On the Rural Route 7609," a four-CD set of his hits, demos and previously unreleased tracks. In August comes "No Better Than This," an album he cut live on tape with T-Bone Burnett in, among other locations, Sun Studios in Memphis and room 414 of the Gunther Hotel in San Antonio, where Robert Johnson lay down his classic blues.
